I had suffered with depression since the age of 12, over the year with many pills and quite a few hospital stay where I had tried to end my life, I still stuggled with it, thinking that this was just my life and I just had to learn how to live despite it, but last year I learned that this was not the case, after hearing a christian physcoligist on Joyce Meyers, God healed me of depression, and I learned that the awnser to all of lifes up and downs is in the bible, God promises us that if we seek after him with ALL our heart we will have a great life, the awnser was there all the time, I just had to recieve it.

This won't seem like a big deal to most people but it was huge to me just b/c of where my wife and I are financially. I am in the mortgage business and I am just really getting started so I was meeting a realtor for coffee this morning and I happened to lock my keys in my car. It was kind of funny at first b/c I never lock my keys in my car. So I am sitting in the coffee shop just thinking about what I am going to do, should I call a locksmith, call my wife and have her bring me an extra set of keys with our 2 little ones, etc. I glanced over and an elderly woman had dropped her credit card. I immediately let her know and an elderly gentleman had noticed that I had helped out the woman. So I simply asked him if he happened to have a coat hanger that I could use to try and open my car door. I have never done that before so I'm not sure how well that was going to work out. So he gave me the hanger and he offered to help me open the door. Well we couldn't. But then another gentleman saw us working on the door and he offered his help as well. He was formerly in the car business so he happened to have several tools to open locked car doors. As all this was happening I couldn't help thinking that God was watching out for me at that very moment and b/c I had helped that woman with giving her her credit card, he was helping me by not sending just one person but two people to help me out. Just goes to show you that God is always watching out for, you just have to recognize it when he gives you an opportunity to help somebody else out so that he can help you. I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Some years ago, when my oldest son was small, my husband and I were really struggling; to the point of dumping change found in drawers, pockets wherever, in the house just to have some money to get by until we got paid. I faithfully attended church and I never stopped believing that God would bring us through our financial struggles, but it was very hard. I was sitting in church one day, listening to the sermon, with the last valid transit pass I had for the week. I didn't have any money to buy one for the next day and didn't know what I was going to do. But I did believe in God and what little money I had on me I faithfully tithed it; it wasn't my whole 10%, but I wanted God to know I believed He would bring me through and make a way for me to get to work somehow. But I was scared. A woman sitting next to me--to this day I don't know who she was and I never did see her again; she turned to me after the sermon took my hand and put $20 in it and said, "God told me to give you this..." I tried to give it back because I felt so uncomfortable and I didn't know her, but she smiled and refused. She had just gave me my transpass money; and she was one of His angels reminding me, that God is still God and still reigns above--and He's still watching over us.

Whenever I want to give up, God says "NO!" Every time a child is born or a child is welcomed into my arms, God reminds me every day what His purpose is and what I am to do with what He has given me. You see my gift from God is to protect the children not just young ones but older ones. It doesn't matter if they are newborns or 40. He put me here to love them and to guide them in the way and the light. Sometimes my will gets in the way and He just reminds.

We attended a small church in the 70's, and to help defray costs, people volunteered to buy the flowers on the altar. I thought it would be nice to buy the flowers to celebrate our anniversary. Being a new Christian, I prayed that God would put one rose in the flowers to symbolize the love between He and I and my family. As I left Sunday School and walked up the steps, I was anxious to see what my flowers would hold. I entered the church and saw beautiful flowers, but no rose. I chided myself for asking God for such a sign when I knew roses were expensive. I dropped the thought. That afternoon my husband's parents came to visit. We received a nice card and centerpiece from his parents. Monday was back to the usual grind. A few anniversary cards came. On Tuesday, while I was working in the garden, I felt God say, "did you look at your anniversary cards?" I literally ran up to the house and spread out our anniversary cards. The card from my husband's parents had roses on the front, my mother's card had roses on the front and the card from my grandparents had roses on them. When I added them up, there was an even dozen!! I asked the Lord for one, and He blessed my socks off!! Even the paper that held our centerpiece had small rose buds. Be still and know that He loves you and your family more than you can imagine. If you don't see your answer, maybe it's coming from another direction.

I was flying home from a week long business trip. Right as I got into my seat before departure, I grabbed my iPod and had it ready to start listening to music. I was exhausted and fully prepared to shut my mind off. Just before take off, I said a quick prayer. I heard God tell me, "Don't isolate yourself from people. Be my hands and feet wherever you go." Surprised by that because all I wanted to do was rest, I turned to the person next to me. She was clutching the armrests and her knuckles were turning white. I started a small conversation with her. Once we were airborne, we hit a great deal of turbulence. I continued to ask her questions and tried to keep her mind off of the stress of the flight. At cruising altitude, the flight smoothed out and she was much more comfortable. I went back to listening to my music and rested for the remainder of the flight. As soon as we landed, she looked over at me and said, "Thank you for helping me get through the flight, I really appreciate it." I smiled and couldn't help but think of what I would have missed if I hadn't listened to what God was telling me.

I was stressing badly over having to move my kids on very short notice. I didn't know where I'd go, how to afford it, if I could keep my kids in their schools...I was just really worrying myself into a frenzy, and praying to God over and over and over. Finally, about 2:30 AM, the lights went out. I looked outside and saw that my whole street was out, but ONLY my street. Not the whole area- just my street. I was just about to start panicking even more, and then I realized- God wants me to let him do his job and GO TO SLEEP!

Growing up in a Christian house I attended church frequently but never fully understood what it meant to have a relationship with God. All the while, God understood exactly what it would take to get my attention. When I was 13 I caught my mother cheating on my father with her high school boyfriend; my whole world collapsed. As a unstable teen, my understanding of God was quite limited. I failed to comprehend that God wants me to love Him wholeheartedly and rely on Him as my provider. With no where else to turn during our heartache my family one by one turned to God for guidance and peace. It is truly a blessing to say that all of us have come out of our darkness and into new light. Despite our constant struggles and pain we can still trust that our provider is with us and is everlasting.

In 2007, I experienced a Faith Moment that has continually impacted my belief in the power of God to this day. I visiting a country in South Asia with some friends to learn about the culture, the people, and what God might teach us through this endeavour. I didnt realize that what I would experience would have a lifetime impact. On one particular day, myself and two others were practicing a day of listening prayer. We decided that we would get on a bus and ask God to guide us where He wanted us to go. We came to a stop and my friend yelled out, "I think we need to get off here!" So we did our best to scurry off the crowded bus and barely jumped off before the driver took off again. So now three Americans are standing in the corner of a busy intersection, in a culture we dont know and a language we dont speak. My friend said, "let's go into this store front and ask if anybody knows who Jesus is." In this particular country, only about .04% of the population are followers of Christ. So we walked into to this store front and a young man around 18 years of age was standing behind the counter. We asked him if he spoke English. Of course he answered with no hesitation "no". It turns out that he did understand us with some broken English and we asked him if he knew who Jesus was. He thought about it for about a minute as we stood looking on to see what his response would be, and then all the sudden he jumped from behind the counter and ran out the store. We stood there perplexed at this young man who just ran out of his store unmanned in such a awkward manner. So we walked out the store to see what our next move would be, when moments later this young man comes running back to us to tell us that he knows a man that wants to meet us and to wait here. So we waited for about five minutes when a man appeared to us with a grin from ear to ear. He said to us, "I have been waiting for you. Three days ago, I had a dream that three westerners would come to me and pray for my Church and for the people of my country!" We just stood before this man in amazement! For the next couple hours we had an amazing time with this man praying for him and his family and for the work that God is doing in His Church. It was an awesome time of encouragement. After we said goodbye, the three of us sat together and began thinking about how amazing of an experience we just had. We realized that this man had such a witness in his community that when we asked a young shop worker if he knew who Jesus was, he responded by locating this incredible man of God.
